Mother's Day Disney Trip

Friday morning Stephanie, Tanek and I went to Disney to celebrate Mother's Day. Not that we need a reason to go, but this seemed like a good time. I particularly wanted to see the flower show at Epcot. Epcot to me is one of the prettiest places to walk through. The landscaping is always beautiful and especially during the flower show. They make so many Topiary's of the characters from plants. I just love to look at all their flowers and plants. The weather was beautiful but a little warm. But we had a good time anyway. We usually do the parks in the morning, then go back to the hotel and swim maybe take a nap and then do the parks again in the late afternoon- night. That really works well with us.
We went into Epcot late in the afternoon on Friday, after we had been to the Magic Kingdom, took a short nap and spent some time in the pool. I love the water slide at the pool. We stayed at Port Orleans, Riverside on the water side. It was beautiful. It is one of my favorite resorts (that we can afford). We haven't been to the really expensive ones, but this one is great.
All of these topiary's are made from plants and flowers. Sure wish I had a gardener like Disney does.

This is a part of Epcot and at night they do quite a show with fireworks and other things here.
Really pretty.

Tanek & his mommy
Such cute girls

I love sunsets especially over water

Tanek's favorite character is Pluto, even if he is made from plants

A hug for Pluto
And a kiss

Pluto really is pretty cute

And it wouldn't be a part of Disney without Mickey and Minnie

I spent all day Friday and Friday night and Saturday until after lunch. Ricky came down on Saturday morning and they stayed until today (Sunday).

You are so lucky to live so close! One of my most favorite things about those parks is the landscaping and flowers. My eyes are always looking at the hanging baskets and amazing things they do with plants and flowers, more than on the park itself. Pluto with the bone in his mouth is so cute. What a fun way to spend mother's day!

We do enjoy going a lot. I am happy just walking around and looking at the landscaping. They just do it the best. I love the butterfly house at Epcot too. Snd the resort grounds are SO pretty.
