Happy Birthday, Happy New Year and some Christmas Pictures

I know it's a little late but here are some pictures from Christmas eve and Christmas day. We had a nice Christmas eve, even though Ricky, Tanek and I were not feeling well. It sort of went down hill from there. However, Tanek had a ball opening all his gifts and every gift brought a big smile to his face. He loved everything he got. He is such a happy little guy and just loved playing with all his toys. I would also like to say Happy Birthday to my daughter-n-law Heather. Her birthday is today. She is having a special birthday with her sister and family in a place where the temps were -5 this morning. Brrrrr. Happy Birthday Heather and Happy New Year Everyone.

For ALL you snowbirds!

This was taken today Christmas Eve at 4:30 PM. It certainly isn't hot, but it is very pleasant. I am wearing long sleeves and long pants and I am not too warm. I do have the patio door open ,but closed the windows because I got cold :) Just thought you would like to see what people in Sunny Florida have to deal with. How sad. Ha. It is Wonderful. I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and I know a lot of you are having a white one so enjoy. I know people do enjoy white Christmases. I for one enjoy this type of weather the most.

A Very Special Christmas GIft!

Yesterday Tanek got this truck in the mail from his Aunt-Grandma (my sister). It had been his Uncle-Grandpa's truck. He was so excited to get it. He LOVES big trucks. Whenever we go to Wal-mart we always drive by all the big trucks so he can look at them. This truck is actually tins that you can put things in. He put several of his "cars" in the trailer part and just loved playing with it. The fact that it had belonged to his Uncle-Grandpa makes it even more special.
Thank you Aunt-Grandma. I will cherish my truck.

My 2 Favorite Christmas Cards!

I love all the Christmas cards I get and display all of them. However, I have 2 cards that just stand out as my most favorite of all. These 4 precious children here are of course my grand-children. They are so special to me and I just had to post them for all to see. They are even more precious in real life.

Love those Children!

I just love it when parents or grand-parents bring their children over to see the lights. It is neat to see the excitement of Christmas through the eyes of children. Below we have the Osteen (Don & Doris) grand-children. They enjoyed running through the yard and looking at everything. The night they were here there was a large owl way up high on top of the cross. It was the first time I had seen one in the yard. Quite interesting to see.

These are the Cones (Darrel & Selena) grand-sons. These little guys really enjoyed being pulled around in their wagon seeing all the lights. It sure adds a lot to Christmas to see little children enjoying the lights we worked so hard to put up. I love seeing the excitement in them as they go from display to display.

A haircut and The 12 days of Christmas

Tuesday Papa and I took Tanek to get a haircut. He does NOT like to get his hair cut. We have had some very unusual times of getting his hair cut. The kind you wish you had taken a video of it and didn't. After checking with Ricky to be sure it would be ok, we decided to take him and see how he acted with us. Well... he did pretty well until it got to using the electric clippers. Then he let everyone know loud and clear he didn't want that thing around him. We did finally get it cut and he was very happy after it was over. I had told him I would get him some "sours" as he calls them. Sour patch kids candy. He loves them. It didn't do a whole lot to help with the hair cut, but he sure was ready for them after it was over. Below are the pictures of his new haircut.

Friday started the "12 days of Christmas". I had started this tradition when Kirsten was little. For the 12 days before Christmas they each get to open a small gift each day. It is just kinda a fun way to get ready for Christmas. The gifts are not expensive, just some fun inexpensive gift for them to open. I still send them to the girls but don't get to watch them open them. It is fun to be able to see Tanek open his everyday. The first day he didn't want to open it because he didn't want to tear the snowman paper. After he got it open (finally) now he is quite into opening them. He gets to pick out whichever one he wants to open everyday. It has been a fun tradition and one that I hope to keep up until they are adults. They also get an ornament each year so that when they are grown they will have a collection.

More Disney Pictures

Friday when we went back to Disney the rain was gone but it was "very" cold. Sunny and pretty after awhile but coooold!. But we had a great time anyway. Here is a picture on Main Street.

Everything was so pretty for Christmas.

One of Tanek's favorite rides was the tea cups. Faster and Faster made him laugh harder and harder. His Very favorite ride was the roller coaster. He is going to be a dare devil I think. He likes to go fast fast fast.

This ride was a little tame for him after the others, but fun just the same.

Nana and Tanek on the dumbo ride
We went over to Animal Kingdom for lunch. It is so pretty over there. Just like a jungle.

We ate lunch at Yak & Yeti's. Very good. Long wait and quite pricy, but very good food. Tanek

Good- Bye in Russian

And an American Good-Bye. A good time was enjoyed. Can't wait to go back.

Christmas in Our Yard!

Last night when the neighborhood kids came over Ronnie took some pictures of the lights in our yard. So here they are.
