Mr. BunBun visits.

About 3 months ago I found this little bunny when he was just a baby. He and another bunny were hidden in some long grass when I was out weeding and I caught him. He lived on our back porch until he was all grown up and on July 3rd we took him way out to the back field and let him loose in a big brush pile. For the past week or so he had been hanging out around the back yard right where I first found him. Last night and tonight he was out there and I fed him some carrots. Gary has let the grass grow so he can hide in it and he loves to nibble on it. We can tell it is him as he has a very tiny white spot on the top of his head right between his ears and a white streak down his side. He also will just sit there and let us walk up to him. He won't let us catch him but he isn't afraid of us.

He is coming to get the carrots. I am so glad to see that he is surviving out in the wild. Ibet he misses the fan that Gary used to put on him to keep him cool, but he doesn't seem to want to come back in. I guess he thinks he has the best of both worlds in the backyard. I hope he will stay here and keep visiting us.

HOT HOT HOT!!!

It is summertime in Sunny Florida. Even though I don't prefer it THIS hot, I will gladly take this over the freezing winter we had. I can get cool in the a/c or pool. This was taken after 7 PM tonight. It seems that it actually gets hottest between 4& 6 PM. Is it any wonder our pool water is a balmy 93 degrees. Just the way I like it. There are so many things I like about summer versus winter that I am not going to complain....at least not yet for the hot weather. However, we still have our 2 hottest months coming up. I am sure by the time I get to September and I am trying to start on Christmas I will wish it was cooler. Christmas??? Yep, it is coming soon. I have already been scoping the yard to see what I want to do different as far as decorating this year. I love getting lights up for Christmas. Well not the actual job of getting them up, but I love the results. I have been trying to keep up the weeding in the yard so that I don't have to do all that first. A little every week keeps it doing pretty well. Sometimes it is a lot every week. Weeds don't have any trouble growing in any conditions. Cold, hot, dry or wet they thrive. Pesky little pests. If you live where it isn't too hot or if it is real hot, it probably isn't this hot unless you are in Arizona or somewhere like that. Just relax and enjoy if you can. Before long we will be cold and wishing it was hot....at least I will. I LOVE summer.

Tanek in his flag suit

Yesterday Tanek and his daddy came over to swim. I wanted to get a picture of him in his 4th of July suit ( a little late). I just think this suit is so cute on him.

He is getting ready to jump into the deep end and swim to his daddy. He is doing really well with his swimming.

Lowe's Workshop

Today Rick and Stephanie took Tanek to the Lowe's workshop. They learned about this from a friend of Tanek's that goes. It really is a neat thing for kids. They get to wear this apron and goggles and make things. He made a space ship. His daddy was able to help him make it and they could work together on it. He came over with all his stuff and I had to take some pictures in all his gear. His goggles are so big on him. They have this workshop every two weeks. He is looking forward to the next one.

Tanek is very proud of his little spaceship that he and his daddy got to make together. He was excited that he got to hammer nails in. He is the ever loving builder and loves any kind of tool and making anything with them. This was right up his ally. He loved it.

Miscellaneous Pictures

These are some pictures I had on my phone that I took while the family was here. Tanek had a cap gun someone had given him plus his beach hat on. He really isn't into being a cowboy or playing with guns but he liked this gun, and he loves to wear many different hats. His favorite hat being a hard hat as he is always the builder.

Austin and Tanek waiting to get in to Sonny's their first day here.

The same day that Emily got her ears pierced we took her to the Dr.for swimmers ear. Her ear was really hurting. She was such a big girl at the doctors and just sat there so sweetly waiting to be checked out. She did have swimmers ear and it was quite painful.

Such a sweet little girl. My youngest grand-daughter. A very brave little girl.

Grands

Kirsten had tried on one of Stephanie's prom dresses and then Emily wanted to try it on. She said she wanted to wear it when she gets married.

Our last dinner

The night before Richard, Heather and family left we all had dinner at Johnny's. Heather needed one more bar-b-que fix and sweet tea before she left her hometown.

Since we couldn't all fit in one booth, Kirsten sat with her Nana and Papa

Happy Birthday to my First Grand-Child!

15 years ago today I became a grand-mother (Nana) for the first time. To say it was exciting was an understatement. It is hard to believe 15 years have passed.. Kirsten is a very beautiful and talented, smart girl. She has many talents. She is an avid horseback rider. She is very smart in school and is also a very good writer and artist. There is nothing she can't do if she sets her mind to it. She is also very strong willed, which is why she is able to achieve at so many things. She doesn't let things defeat her. She conquers it. We share so many good memories over the past 15 years. We had a small early birthday celebration while she was here. I am very proud of this young lady. Kirsten, you were the one that started me on my favorite role in life. I have loved parts of all the different phases in life, but being a Nana is probably my favorite. Thank you for making me a Nana 15 years ago today.

She is pretty on the outside and on the inside
She was really wanting to go riding so Papa was able to get the neighbors Tennessee Walker for her to ride.

He was being a little stubborn, but she got him going

Kirsten, we love you and are very proud to have you as our first Grand-child. I hope you have a wonderful Beach Party. LOVE YOU,

Pictures and Videos of the kids and grand-kids

We spent a lot of time in the pool this past week. The girls love swimming and are very good swimmers. Tanek was excited to have his cousins and aunt & uncle to swim with too. Hannah is getting ready to jump off her daddy's hands.

Richard and his girls getting ready to take the plunge
Tanek loves to be thrown up in the air.
Emily is a water ballerina

Go Hannah!

These videos are of Heather jumping (or falling off) of Richard and Tanek and Emily taking a jump in the deep end together. For the most part the water was very warm and enjoyable.

Message on an Easel

This afternoon Tanek came over and when he went into his bedroom he came out and asked me who had written something on his easel. I told him I didn't know, that maybe Emily had drawn on it. Tonight when I went into his room to get the sheets to wash I found this message. It surprised me as I had not seen it. He noticed it right away. He will be pleased when he finds out what it said. That was a nice note to leave for a 4 year old.
