Back from Atlanta

Yesterday morning my sister and I traveled to Atlanta so she could spend the rest of this week with her daughter Lori. Today before I left I went by her office where her ministry "Celebrate Life International" is. It is a beautiful office and God is really using Lori and her staff to help "children at risk".

They go into to schools and juvenile system. She also is a very sought after speaker for womens groups. She actually has to be booked about 2 years in advance to get her. Needless to say I am VERY proud of my neice.

Here she is standing in front of her little sporty car in front of her office.

This is the front of her office

This is some of the decor in her office. Her office was all done with and by volunteers that supplied all the furniture computers etc. These are pictures of some of the kids they work with.

All this beautiful furniture was donated by businesses in town. They are very glad to have her and this ministry in their town and schoolsThese are her degrees. She is Dr. Lori. The only Dr. in our family.

This is her office. My sister and Lori at her house.
This is her office at home that her husband Kurt built for her.

A beautiful view of the living room from the staircase.

A quick trip to Starbucks and then relaxiing in front of the fire.

This was just a great Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time while everyone was here and a safe and good trip to Atlanta. It has been a while since we were all able to get together and it was loads of fun and laughter.

Glad you had a good time! It must have been so nice spending all week with your family. I remember taking Kirsten to Lori's house in Atlanta right after they moved in - Kirsten was two months old!! :) Where does the time go?

I bet we passed on the road somewhere! We were in Atlanta for the weekend and came home today (Tues). Sounds like you had a great week! I almost just showed up at your doorstep last Wed. night to see your lights, but knew you had family and decided against it, but know that I was thinking of you!

Karen,
I wish you had stopped by. Were you in Florida? Whenever you are in Florida please stop by. The more the merrier. Are you back in Minn. now?

Heather,
We talked about that visit when Kirsten was a baby. Remember going into Macy's and getting her that winter hat because it was SO cold then?

Aunt Ilene, The blog looks great. WOW-- who is that neice of yours. She looks like a movie star and appears to be as smart as a genius. Seriously, you did an awesome job of capturing the essence of our thanksgiving. My mom is impressed with your profile and thinks your occupation sounds impressive. Love you.

That "neice" is great. No movie star can compare. She is real close to being a genius.
