17 YEARS ago today I became a nana for the first time. To say that was a happy moment would be an understatement. I never realized how special being a grandparent could be. I guess it is one of those things you have to experience to realize the full impact. Kirsten came into our lives on July 14, and she has been a blessing.
She was a very pretty baby and has grown up to be a very pretty young lady. We love her as we do all our grandchildren. They make life so special. Kirsten is also very smart and very talented. I know that whatever she decides to do in life with God's help she will accomplish it. She is "headstrong" and doesn't give up on what she wants to do. That isn't always an easy thing to deal with, but channeled in the right direction it is a real plus. Kirsten is a great writer, artist and musician. She has a talent to pick up just about anything she wants to. I heard her newest thing is she is quite a sharp shooter. That's my granddaughter. She can do whatever she sets her mind too. She is also a straight A student in a very difficult classical education school.
Kirsten, we are very proud of you. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for you and where God will lead you. Always keep your eyes on Him and you will succeed at whatever you do. Never settle for anything but the best. You deserve the best, because you are the best. You are God's child and He wants the best for you. We love you Kirky. Have a great birthday.
