Today Tanek and Mason got together to play. They went from one thing to another. They played on the back porch with the bulldozers, then went to the slides and swing and bubble machines that Mason's meme brought. Then they decided to go in the wading pool which still had quite cold water. But being kids they didn't really mind until they were freezing cold.
The bubble machine was lots of fun and they liked chasing the bubbles.

Who is having the most fun???
I am not sure if Tanek or papa are having more fun with this swing. Who would think a rope over a big tree could be so much fun?

Papa makes a swing!
We have been doing a lot of work on the yard, the garden etc. Yesterday and today Papa worked on moving the play area for Tanek so that it would be under the big oak tree and give shade. He decided to make a swing for Tanek. Just a rope thrown over a big branch and then made a swing. Tanek loved it and had so much fun playing on the swing and slides.
He kept saying "papa did you make this?" He liked it because it also goes round and round.

Tanek checking out his peas he planted
Tanek wanted to plant peas like he and his cousins did last summer. Everytime we go to look at how his peas are growing he wants to know where Emily is. He thinks she should be here to help him with his garden. He actually likes to eat them since they come from papa's garden and he got to help plant them last year. But....they are all gone until this crop comes up.
They are still small but they are coming up and growing. Hopefully they will all do well and if they do we will have plenty of peas and everything else. You can see the corn behind him is doing pretty well. All the rain we have had sure has helped.

My Beautiful Grand-daughters!
Here is Emily on Easter. Isn't she just too cute. I love the curls and big bow in her hair. (I borrowed these pictures from my daughter-in-law.) She is a great photographer.
I love this picture. Someone has a "attitude".

Happy Easter!
Last night we attended the Lake Area Easter Pageant at our church. It was amazing. It is great to see that a church this size in a small town like Keystone has so much talent and can put on such a great pageant. There is so much talent in this church. And Jeannie (our pastor's wife) makes Sandy Patti sound like an amature. This morning we went to church and also had a great Easter service. This afternoon we had the family (minus the Maryland group, "my 3 beautiful grand-daughters") for dinner and Easter egg hunt. Without the girls and Richard and Ricky there was no big egg fight after the hunt. (When Heather blogs their picutures I will borrow a few so you can see my beautiful grand-daughters). But we had a nice dinner and fun time with Ricky, Stephanie and Tanek. We had our traditional Easter dinner....Mexican. They always get the traditional Easter dinner of ham etc. from the other family, so I get to cook something different and we always do Mexican. We all love that and that has become "our" traditional Easter and Christmas dinner. My friend Anita cooks for days before and I told her it takes me an hour and I am through. I really like that part a lot. Tanek enjoyed hunting Easter eggs and we hid them and re-hid them about 5 times. Once he found out there was money in some of the eggs he was really into it. It is amazing how quickly a 3 year old realizes what money is. After the egg hunt we went over to his house so he could play on his slip and slide. He enjoyed that until he was half frozen.
Below is my Easter flag. I really liked it but with all the windy days we had it always got tangled up because of the cut out area's on the flag. I was always having to climb up and untangle it. But I still like the flag.
My Easter wreath on the front door.

Coloring Easter Eggs
Today Stephanie and I helped Tanek color Easter eggs. We took off most of his clothes so he wouldn't get the dye all over him. I still have multi colored fingers. He was quite anxious to color the eggs this year.
We used the tye dye egg coloring kit and then used the sparkle kit on top of those. I think they really turned out quite pretty. The dye doesn't wash off your fingers though.

Fun Day!
Today Meme Anita and Morgan came over and spent the day. They brought Tanek some Easter gifts and Morgan and Tanek had a great time. We all did.
Tanek is checking out all the goodies in the bag.

So Many goodies what fun.
I love you Meme, thanks for all the gifts.
After we spent the morning visiting we took some food to the church for the Easter rehersal and then we went to McDonalds for lunch. Morgan and Tanek had a lot of fun playing in the playyard. Tanek thought he was as big as Morgan and did everything she did.
Morgan is such a precious girl. Next to "our" 3 grand-daughters Morgan is my favorite little girl in all the world. She just turned 9 and is only a few days younger than our Hannah. She is a great dancer and just a joy to be around. She is so good with Tanek and he loves her to pieces.
He really didn't want her and meme to go home.
