Happy 7th Birthday Tanek!

I spent most of the day helping Tanek celebrate his birthday.  He was a happy boy.  He got Lego's and chocolate cupcakes.  It was a nice day and he had time to jump on the trampoline as well as "build" which is his favorite thing to do.  This Saturday is his birthday party and he is looking forward to it.  It is a Lego birthday party, which isn't much of a surprise there.  He is a Lego loving little boy.  He is very creative with his building .  He says he is going to be a Lego designer when he grows up.  I think he very well could do that. His mind "thinks" in Lego's all the time.

A warm fire to do school by

Monday it was in the 20's for a low so we decided to do school in 

front of the fire.  It was nice and warm.  It is nice to be able to 

do school outside when it is warm or in front of the fire when it is really cold.

Tanek's Baptism

Tanek asked Jesus into his heart.  A couple weeks later he went down in front of the church to make it public.  Today he was
baptized.  Here he is getting ready.

Crazy Hat Night

Every year in Awana's they have a crazy hat night.  This year
Tanek wanted to decorate his hat in slinky's.  So, among other things we put slinky's all over the hat.  We also used those glowing circles that glow in the dark.

Happy Birthday Ricky!

Yesterday was my son in law, Ricky's birthday.  We celebrated with dinner, Mexican of course.  I actually got a couple good pictures of him and the family.  A rare thing as he usually doesn't let me take his picture.  I guess he is growing up.  

Tanek is very happy that his daddy had his birthday, because that means his is next and he is "very" excited about his upcoming birthday.  I love this sweet little family.  Glad we got to celebrate his birthday together. 

Disney & ikea

Last week Stephanie, Tanek and I took an overnight trip to Orlando.  We spent a day at Disney, Hollywood Studio's and
Downtown Disney.  We love Disney and Tanek has a ball.  His favorite thing to do is ride Thunder Mountain and go to the Lego store at DT Disney.  

And he loves being with his mommy.

 It was a beautiful day.  Sunny and pretty warm.  It started out cool but warmed up nicely.

 The next day we went to ikea.  Stephanie wanted to get a storage unit for Tanek for all his lego's.  We spent most of the day there.  There is so much to look at.  Tanek played in their play area, we had lunch there and did some good shopping.  We definitely need an ikea closer to us.

Getting ready to go into the play area.  What a great idea.  He had a good time.  He doesn't meet a stranger, and just went right in and played with the other kids.  We had a good time and a trip to Disney is always a good time.  Since we are re-doing his bedroom at home and at my house a trip to ikea was a good thing too!
